Autism Treatment
Does Your Child Exhibit Any Of These Symptos?
Difficulty maintaining eye contact
Difficulty reading social cues
Have a history of speech and language delay
Overwhelmed by sensory experiences, including exposure to lights, tastes, and textures
Have difficulty handling transitions or changes to their daily routine
Have difficulty engaging in “small talk?”
Repetitive movements and/or tics
Have difficulty reading social cues and/or body language
Experience a lack of social interest
Experience discomfort when hugged
Intense obsession with particular topics
Exhibit rigidity
Difficulty understanding the feelings and intentions of others, including trouble interpreting sarcasm
If you and/or your child exhibit any combination of the above, it is possible that Autism Spectrum Disorder may be present. If unaddressed, these symptoms can negatively affect their social life and academic performance.
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first two years of life.
Why Is Testing Necessary For Diagnosing Autism?
Regardless of the severity of symptoms, testing is typically required to confirm a diagnosis of autism and to create an individualized treatment plan.
Among its many benefits, appropriate testing can qualify children for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. It can also facilitate the creation of a truly integrated approach that is tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
At WPA, we are autism testing specialists who use the most sophisticated assessments, such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), to help our clients find the answers and treatment they need. Our primary goal is to clarify a diagnosis and create a cohesive treatment plan that helps you and/or your child thrive.
An accurate and thorough diagnosis is essential for children, teens, and adults on the Spectrum to receive proper accommodations. Not only can a diagnosis pave the way for individualized educational interventions and adequate support, but ADOS testing is specifically required to receive ABA, which is one of the most effective treatment methods for children.
Our clinicians are passionate about providing testing and ongoing support to clients with autism and their families. Through our autism assessment process, you or your child can receive proper referrals, interventions (including therapy, neurofeedback, and/or medication management), and access additional resources that will allow you to feel more supported and functional in your everyday life.
Autism Assessments Through WPA
The team at WPA is made up of clinical psychologists and other clinicians who specialize in psychological/psychoeducational assessments and ongoing support for neurodiverse clients. We are committed to helping you and your family get answers so that you can address and overcome some of the challenges that come with a diagnosis of ASD.
Common Questions About Autism Testing…
How much will the evaluation cost?
We work with both private pay and insurance clients.
How quickly can my child/I be seen for an evaluation?
We can typically accommodate most evaluations within weeks.
What if testing does not determine a diagnosis of autism?
Our autism assessments are extremely thorough, and we always screen for other issues in the process. If it’s determined that there is no diagnosis of ASD present, we will make other testing recommendations based on your or your child’s unique symptoms.

Our program blends TMS, neurofeedback, molecular hydrogen therapy, nutrient interventions, psychotherapeutic and testing services to address the unique needs of each individual.
THE SIX PILLARS OF OUR PROGRAM
01
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
A non-invasive neuromodulation treatment using magnetic force to stimulate specific brain areas — restoring healthy neural activity and enhancing neuroplasticity, emotional regulation, attention, and cognitive ability.
02
Neurofeedback
Direct training of brain function using EEG. Brain electrical activity is fed back via computer display so the brain can alter its EEG and enhance connectivity and neuroplasticity.
03
Molecular Hydrogen Therapy
An innocuous gas with strong antioxidant properties that helps rid the body of free radicals and senescent cells, lowering oxidative stress and inflammation so cells can function at their best.
04
Walsh Institute Nutrient Plan
Labs developed by Dr. William J. Walsh identify nutrient imbalances associated with ASD and ADHD. An individualized blend of micronutrients is created for each client.
05
Psychological Testing
Comprehensive testing services including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), learning disability testing, ADHD evaluation, and neuropsychological testing.
06
Therapy & Psychiatric Services
Individual, marriage, family, and group therapy. Psychiatric services available for clients who need medication management.
