About Weston Psychological Associates

From a young age I knew that I wanted to help people. My over 30 years as a clinical psychologist has allowed me to fulfill my lifelong dream. As a clinical psychologist it has been my mission to help people overcome the emotional barriers that prevent them from reaching their potential. I have had the opportunity to do this in various settings; private practice, hospitals and treatment centers. My interest in the mind-body connection has helped me gain a better understanding of the complex interaction between the two and has contributed to the development of The Neurofeedback Institute. I have been fortunate to have practiced in many settings, such as hospitals, community mental health centers and private practice, working with many talented professionals and treating a wide variety of disorders.  I have worn several hats throughout the years, as an administrator, developer of clinical programs, implementing mental health services, providing psychological, psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments, and as a research coordinator. Currently, in my private practice, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of the full range of anxiety and mood disorders. I have been in practice as a clinical psychologist since 1983.

I utilize a collaborative and systemic approach to working with clients. I believe in considering all aspects of a person, including the emotional, physical/medical, cognitive, and relationship. I meet my clients at their comfort level and together we establish goals that work to build a life of wellness. My educational background includes an MS in Mental Health Counseling and a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy both from Nova Southeastern University. I was part of the HBO documentary Thin and have been a speaker and interviewed in the topic of eating disorder.
